Three Bridges Recruitment are currently working with a growing accountancy practice based in Dunfermline. This firm consists of several chartered accountants and many individuals with corporate, large scale, backgrounds. The aim of the senior team is to ensure the firm reaches a similar standard and can grow at a rapid rate. That is where this role comes in – this organisation is currently looking for a talented, senior, accountant to join the team and bring practice experience to an emerging organisation.

 

The ideal candidate will be able to produce a complex set of accounts unaided and be confident communicating with new and existing clients.

Job

The role of Practice Accountant will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following:

 

  • Manage a portfolio of business and personal clients
  • Preparation of technical and complex accounts
  • Review client ledgers, monitoring budgets and invoicing
  • Review financial statements
  • Business advisory work, including technical and software support for clients
  • Support and train junior team members
  • Support the firm on anti-money laundering matters
  • Assist with implementation of new software
  • Assist directors, accounts manager and senior tax manager on any matters as required

 

You

As a Practice Accountant, you will be skilled &/or qualified in the following:

 

  • AAT qualified or qualified by experience
  • Skilled in accounts preparation
  • At least 3 years of experience in practice
  • Adaptable to change and supportive of colleagues
  • Excellent communicator
  • Competent user of Excel and ability to pick up new systems quickly
