General practice is facing a magnitude of challenges: unmanageable
workloads, changing patient expectations, difficulty with recruitment,
property concerns and financial constraints.

Something needs to change. We need to be organised, embrace
innovation and work collectively. We need to come together.

We have a vision that retains primary care in the hands of clinicians. An
extended equity partnership covering multiple practices, similar to law
and accountancy groups. Local GPs still in control and working with
their own patients supported by a larger organisation. Where quality
care, education and equity are the guiding principles. Letting Doctors be
Doctors again.

We don't have all the answers but we know the right questions to ask.

We the Barclay Medical Practices are a large GP practice that are interested in building a new model of General Practice based on a social enterprise model of primary care in Central Scotland ( currently based in Glasgow and Livingston) and actively expanding. We seek to limit the use of drugs of dependence and psychoactive medications.
