Full Job Description
- Assisting with the preparation of class work and developing the curriculum
- Assessing, recording reporting pupil work and providing guidance to pupils regarding their education
- Planning, implementing and assessing play-based learning experiences for pupils to support literacy/numeracy and health and well-being
- Promoting and safeguarding the health, welfare and safety of pupils
- Working in partnership with support staff, parents and other professionals to support pupils needs
- Undertaking appropriate and agreed Continuous Professional Development
- Participating in issues related to school planning, raising attainment and contributing to the wider life of the school
- Using data to inform learning and teaching Balgreen Primary School sits in the heart of the local community. Our catchment draws families from diverse demographic backgrounds providing a vibrant and unique ethos of which we are proud. At Balgreen, we are committed to providing a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive environment where children are encouraged to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to approach life and learning with confidence. The school is led by a management team consisting of a Head Teacher, one Depute Head, one Principal Teacher &; a Business Manager. There are fourteen classes led by a mix full time & part time class teachers and a Support for Learning Teacher. Management & teachers are all supported by a team of PSAs, a Nurture PSO, a Nurture PSA, a School Administrator, a clerical assistant & a Facilities Technician.
An opportunity has arisen for a full time Teaching post for 12 months maternity cover at Balgreen Primary School. We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, experienced and dynamic teacher with an excellent track record in primary teaching. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, creative, skilled and flexible in their approach to deploy their range of teaching strategies and resources to meet the needs and abilities of the children in our educational setting. Ideally, they should have relevant experience of building nurturing and supportive relationships with pupils and be skilled in raising attainment through strong practice in planning, learning and teaching and assessment. Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
