Full Job Description
The Board of Governors of St Aloysius’ College, Glasgow, welcome applications for the role of Principal. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead one of Scotland’s top independent schools which also has a significant place in the history of Catholic Scotland.
St Aloysius’ College is a leading Catholic day school educating over 700 children aged 3 to 18. The College is a Jesuit School and it seeks to create a climate which helps each young person deepen their relationship with God and, thereby, discover the confidence and motivation to make progress in living and learning for the greater glory of God and the common good. The College has a strong academic reputation and curriculum centred around the individual, aiming to help every child discover the confidence and motivation to achieve ‘greater things’ on their journey to becoming men and women for others.
The Governors are now seeking to appoint a visionary and inspirational Principal. At this exciting juncture in the College’s history, this is an opportunity, working in close partnership with a fully supportive and ambitious Board, to develop St Aloysius’ College and cement its position as a market-leading Catholic and Jesuit school.
The successful candidate will demonstrate alignment with the College’s educational aims and values, and be wholly committed to the mission and identity of St Aloysius’ College as a Jesuit School. They will have first-class communication skills alongside a proven ability to engage with, motivate and inspire the whole school community through a visionary and empowering approach. They will have a collaborative and enabling style that will help them to bring out the best in others.
Further information about St Aloysius’ College can be found via its website, staloysius.org.
Letters of application, CVs and application forms should be submitted by the closing date, 09:00 GMT on Wednesday 20 November.
