They are looking for an energetic Principal ElectricalEngineer to join their Edinburgh team.
The Edinburgh team is involved in a number of local,national and international projects which include major infrastructure,renewables, healthcare, commercial, science and industrial projects.

Your new role
As a PrincipalElectrical Engineer you will play a vital role ensuring sustainability,efficiency and safety of electrical systems across various building types. Youwill be responsible for leading the electrical design on our client's projectsand contribute to the management of their electrical team. This includes themanagement of delivery, the quality of deliverables and the development of atalented and accomplished electrical team comprised of engineers and graduatesto ensure they achieve their full potential.
Your keyresponsibilities will be:
- Production and review of detailed design calculations for all aspects of electrical design.
- Production of specifications.
- Production of design notes and reports, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Production of design drawings from conception through to detailed design.
- Conducting detailed site surveys and inspection of installations.
- Mentoring and guidance of engineers and graduates.
- Supporting your associates and directors with team management, and resource planning.
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree in electrical engineering or other relevant subject.
- Chartered Engineer with CIBSE or IET.
- Strong background in Electrical Building Services Engineering Design.
- Proficient with Trimble/Amtech, Dialux, and/or other electrical design software and familiar with BIM processes using Revit, Revitzo or other recognized industry platforms.
- Experience in designing from first principles as well as the design of HV. LV. Lighting and lighting controls, Fire Alarms, Security/Access Control, electrical design for renewable energy systems and earthing across a range of projects.
