Full Job Description

  • Lead a design team as required with full management responsibility for the team

  • Participate fully in developing, maintaining, and modifying engineering processes and procedures in assigned areas in response to technical developments and operational needs

  • Carry out complex technical analyses and investigations, including evaluation and selection of technical options and prepare reports to support the resolution of problems and the improvement of engineering capability.

  • Prepare specifications, develop designs in line with specifications and all quality and technical standards, and carry out design appraisals ensuring all standards are maintained.

  • Act as main point of contact with customers and/or suppliers in assigned areas on engineering matters

    Applicants should ideally be Degree qualified or have equivalent experience, likely to be in a technology, engineering, science, or IT related discipline

  • Applicants should be a Chartered Engineer or hold another equivalent professional registration with a relevant institution

  • Experience and expertise, in Marine Engineering Systems

  • Wide range of Auxiliary system design knowledge

  • Awareness of Life Cycle Management reviews of bids and programmes

  • People Management skills

  • Reviewing of technical documentation

    Salary: Up to £52,300 commensurate with skills and experience, You'll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.   • The Auxiliary Systems Team:

    You will join the Canada Auxiliary Systems Team where you will be involved in the design of piping and machines. You will be leading a design team to assess customer change, design work, review documentation, represent your team with customer facing meetings, deigns reviews, work across variety of design activities, interfacing work with suppliers. Working within the Auxiliary Systems Team you will be working on exciting projects and have opportunities for external development as well as having support towards professional registration, career development & other training opportunities.
