Principal Health and Safety Adviser
Waverley Court

Salary: £50,550 - £60,506
Hours: 36 per week

The City of Edinburgh Council’s Health and Safety Team provide professional health and safety advice, training and auditing for the City of Edinburgh. The experienced team produce clear policy, guidance, training and support across the wide range of Council Services. The team also audit the application of established health and safety arrangements to provide organisational assurance.

You will be joining this busy dynamic team of health and safety professionals at an exciting time, as the team seek to drive a new health and safety strategy and building on previous success. This role offers a unique opportunity to support the management of risk in our Capital city and be part of delivering further transformational change.

Successful candidates must have a recognised Health and Safety qualification and be a Chartered member of IOSH or equivalent. Management/supervisory experience is required along with significant experience working in a multidisciplinary organisation, such as local government.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
