Position:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Principal Pharmacist Digital Health & Electronic Prescribing based at University Ayr Hospital.  This is a temporary secondment for 6 months.

This post is based at University Hospital Ayr but has an area-wide remit therefore travel to other hospital sites may be required.

What you will do:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated Pharmacist to lead and manage the Pharmacy Digital Health & Electronic Prescribing Team.  You will provide clinical leadership and management of digital solutions relating to pharmacy and medicines including electronic prescribing across NHS Ayrshire & Arran. You will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating service provision and patient outcomes with respect to electronic prescribing and relevant digital systems to ensure that the anticipated benefits are quantified and met.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

The ideal candidate shall demonstrate a passion for innovation and possess excellent communication skills to enable collaborative working with a wide range of stakeholders in relation to all aspects of digital systems relating to medicines and electronic prescribing. This is a fantastic opportunity to work, within a highly skilled and motivated team, to lead and contribute to digital innovation projects, and have an active role in local, regional and national groups.

Hours:

22.3 hours per week

You will participate in weekend, public holiday and extended hours as required.  You will manage and participate in the provision of the digital pharmacy on call service. In accordance with AFC terms and conditions you may be required to work over 7 days and/or an extended working day.

Driving Licence/Car Ownership:

A car licence/car ownership is essential to this role.
