As a Principal Platform Product Manager in Bentley Systems' iTwin Platform group, you will be part of a dedicated team of Product Managers at the forefront of evolving our platform technologies, services, and tools. Your role is crucial in delivering PaaS-based digital twin capabilities, enhancing developer productivity and user experience for digital twin native products. You will be required to actively collaborate within and beyond the iTwin Platform team, including product, UX, and development teams. Success in this role means driving iTwin Platform adoption, leading cross-functional teams to develop and deliver innovative features that meet the needs of our internal product teams, who are our users and accelerating the integration of digital twins in our products. In terms of impact, your work will enhance the iTwin Platform's value, streamline digital twin integration, and improve both developer and user experiences. As a Platform PM your work will have a significant impact across product lines. You will influence the future of infrastructure design and management products, reinforcing Bentley's leadership in digital twins. We are seeking someone who has a lot of experience in managing software products and a demonstrated history of creating and implementing strategies. Your role requires finding a balance between strategic planning and agile iteration. You are enthusiastic, have a growth mindset, and are comfortable working with empowered product teams. We will rely on you for the following:

  • In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development and launch of innovative product and platform capabilities that solve real problems. You will work closely with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap. You will also conduct user research, analyze data, and test hypotheses to validate your assumptions and deliver value to the users. This role is a hands-on, individual contributor role that requires strong product sense, technical skills, and communication skills. You will not be managing any direct reports, but you will be expected to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop strategies and roadmaps to enhance the iTwin Platform's portfolio, focusing on integrating digital twins with Bentley and third-party products.
  • Perform internal and external research to understand developer and user needs, along with industry trends to improve the iTwin Platform.
  • Define strategic business outcomes and establish quarterly Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) working with iTwin Platform leadership to align the platform with Bentley's product and technology goals.
  • Proactively manage and communicate the OKR and plans with stakeholders, leadership, and senior management transparently.
  • Lead discoveries for developing innovative platform capabilities through experimentation to exceed developer and user expectations.
  • Work closely with UX designers, developers, and other product team members to execute the iTwin Platform's strategy.
  • Monitor the iTwin Platform's performance using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure ongoing enhancement.
  • Build and sustain relationships with teams inside and outside the iTwin Platform group for relevant capability development, prioritization, and adoption of the iTwin Platform.
  • Develops policies and procedures as necessary and spends most of the time working with empowered teams, supporting and empowering others.

    A minimum of 10+ years of professional experience in product management and development, focusing on developer enablement. Platform PM experience is highly desirable.
  • This role is a hands-on, individual contributor role that requires strong product sense, technical skills, and communication skills.
  • Track record of managing cross-functional initiatives with a high level of organizational visibility.
  • Extensive knowledge of product management practices, particularly in SaaS or PaaS sectors.
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing, empowered teams in dynamic environments.
  • Technical proficiency for effective collaboration with engineering teams and defining product specifications.
  • Passion for understanding and meeting the needs of developers and internal customers.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and adept at evolving ideas from conception to successful launch.
  • Skill in balancing strategic product vision with hands-on operational management.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of presenting complex concepts and strategies to a diverse audience.
  • A solid understanding of digital twin technologies, AL/ML, and familiarity with Bentley Systems' iTwin Platform, products, and the competitive landscape are highly advantageous.
  • Advanced degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
