Principal Teacher - fixed term until 04/04/2025
Brunstane Primary School

Salary: £55,155
Hours: 35 per week

Brunstane Primary School is seeking to recruit a Principal Teacher with proven track record of excellent classroom practice and experience of leadership.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic individual who will lead and develop learning and teaching within our Second Level team.

The successful candidate will be driven, and committed to Social Justice and able to demonstrate an strong understanding of additional support needs. Candidates should be able to demonstrate an excellent knowledge of classroom pedagogy and the ability to learn new approaches quickly. The successful candidate will also have experience in leading initiatives, motivating colleagues and encouraging leadership at all levels.

This post has a teaching commitment, the successful candidate will be a part of the wider school leadership team.

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
