Principal Teacher Curriculum (Humanities Faculty)

Lockerbie Academy

PT06 £63,879

 

We are seeking to appoint on a permanent basis, an inspiring and determined secondary Principal Teacher Curriculum (Humanities Faculty).

 

You will have a key day to day operational,897 and strategic role in Lockerbie Academy. You will lead your team to further developing and embedding our approach to teaching and learning - enabling all young people to benefit from high quality, consistent pedagogy in all classes across the faculty. 

 

You will inherit a strong Faculty team, that regularly sees strong performance across subjects and levels in SQA exams. As we prepare for re-inspection, we continue to raise the bar, so you will have raising attainment as a key focus of your improvement agenda.

 

You will be a key member of a strong PTC Team and ELT as we work to realise our vision that Lockerbie Academy is a Caring, Learning Community

 

We work closely as a team to nurture and support our young people, families, and community. Applicants for teaching posts must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS), Clerwood House, 96 Clermiston Road, Edinburgh, EH12 6UT in the appropriate sector.

 

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.  From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
