Are you passionate about Data Protection, privacy and compliance? This is a fantastic opportunity to join Sopra Steria as a Data Protection and Privacy Lead and be part of a small, friendly, and collaborative team. You'll play a key role in maintaining compliance with Data Protection legislation while supporting governance arrangements and delivering assurance across the business. As a Privacy Manager, you will collaborate with colleagues across the wider organisation and provide assurance to partners that personal data processed daily is managed and protected effectively. We are looking for someone who promotes positivity, openness, and a practical commitment to good information governance practices. If you have a proactive attitude, an interest in Data Privacy, and the ability to build solid relationships, we'd love to hear from you! What You'll Be Doing:
- Reviewing and approving Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) to help privacy by design and default.
- Supporting supplier onboarding processes to make sure data protection compliance.
- Delivering training and providing advice and guidance to colleagues, helping them understand data protection in practice and deliver quality compliance evidence.
- Supporting administrative activities to assess compliance with Data Protection legislation and controls.
- Reviewing monthly Management Information (MI) dashboards to identify risks and trends.
- Working collaboratively to share good practices, support the team's workload, and meet deadlines while supporting the wider business. What You'll Bring:
- A strong understanding of Data Protection requirements in UK legislation.
- The ability to plan, prioritise, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Analytical thinking: the ability to break down complex issues, consider multiple perspectives, and process large volumes of information to reach sound conclusions.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). We Would Love It If You Had:
- A Data Protection legislation or DPA Accredited Training Certificate. Employment Type: Permanent. Location: UK Anywhere - Remote work with travel to an office once every few months. Security Clearance Level: Eligible to obtain SC Clearance. Internal Recruiter: Soraya. Salary: circa £35,000.
