Position

An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Procurement Contracts Officer at Ayrshire Central Hospital.

Hours:

37 per week

What you will do:

You will distribute published Buyers Guides from National Procurement and Scottish Procurement, from the regularly received Knowledge Hub emails. You will also support the maintenance of NHS Ayrshire and Arrans Contract Register including co-ordinating, managing records and databases. You will be expected to produce Business Object Reports to support the Procurement Department on decisions and responses required following receipt of Customer Supply Notices, Product Recalls, Safety Action Notices and Freedom of Information requests. You will arrange and report on NHS Ayrshire and Arran participation on National Procurement Commodity Advisory Panels (CAPs).

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

You must be educated to HNC Level or or equivalent Level 3 C.I.P.S.  Evidence of the ability to handle complex statistical data will be required with the ability to work on your own or as part of the team, with strong interpersonal skills, to meet objectives and working to challenging deadlines. You must have a proven track record with experience in the field of procurement within a large organisation, experience of the change process and experience of retrieving information from a database and manipulating for analysis.

A driving licence/car ownership is essential for this role.
