East Kilbride

Are you ready to take charge of your career in a leading manufacturing environment? Reed is partnering with a top-tier manufacturing company who are on the hunt for a dynamic and proactive Production Controller to join their team in East Kilbride.
The Production Controller is the linchpin in the production process, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. The role will involve managing and updating the master sales order list, distributing crucial information to departments, and identifying opportunities to enhance production efficiency.
In this role, you would act as the central point of command, directly impacting the success and efficiency of production operations. You would not only manage day-to-day tasks but also drive process optimisation and support cross-departmental communication. This position offers a chance to develop your skills in a supportive environment that values initiative and dedication.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities of the Role:
- Managing the master sales order list, distributing updates, and streamlining operations.
- Co-ordinating production, overseeing the printing and distribution of work orders, and addressing any shop floor-level issues.
- Reviewing ongoing production and making necessary adjustments.
- Optimising processes, proactively adjust production schedules and processes to meet efficiency targets.
- Overseeing weekly sales order line review meetings.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills.
- Proven experience in production planning and management, ideally in manufacturing or production environments.
- Proficiency in project management.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- ideally but not essential Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
