Programme Co-ordinator

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a local charity which is firmly embedded in the community. Based in Peebles, you will work closely with the Programme Manager to deliver our services supporting young people aged 10-14 years across Tweeddale. The role involves delivery of confidence-building activities with our young people, liaising with their families and schools, and the recruitment and support of our volunteer mentors. You will require excellent people skills, be organised and self-motivated, and be able to engage with young people., None specified

Peeblesshire Youth Trust supports young people from Primary 6 across all of Tweeddale, through to S2 at Peebles High School. We help to boost confidence and self-esteem, as well as building resilience and enhancing social skills, to smoothen the transition from primary to secondary school. We deliver a variety of programmes including “Achieve Your Potential” workshops, regular group activity sessions, one-to-one mentoring, primary-secondary transition support sessions, in-school programmes and delivery of Christmas hampers to local families. Most of our activities are held in the local community, at various halls or outdoor spaces around Tweeddale. All sessions are free for young people to attend, and are planned around having fun whilst making new friends and learning new skills!.
