Full Job Description

FinTech RS is working with a large energy-focused group who are looking to recruit a Project Accountant on a 12-month contract basis.

Reporting to the Financial Controller this role will be responsible for project accounting, project control and project/management reporting. This role will also support the cost controllers and PMs for all stages of the project life cycle.

Key duties:

Ensure all accounting information is accurate and complete
Implement new control procedures to manage cost allocation and reporting
Work closely with the Cost Controller to confirm project cost and revenue accruals
Track financial performance against forecasted profitability whilst identifying risks
Oversee client invoicing and project billings
Create executive reports for all projects to senior management
Assist with flash forecasts
Prepare project budgets and forecasts

Candidates will have a good understanding of project activities ideally gained from an energy service business. A recognised accounting qualification is not essential to be considered here. Sage experience is beneficial
