Full Job Description

**Job Title: Environmental Manager – Power Transmission
**Location: Based out of Head Office near Glasgow, with travel to sites in North of Scotland
**Contract Type: Full-time

**About the Role:**
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Environmental Manager to lead the environmental strategy for a significant infrastructure framework in the energy sector. This role is crucial in driving sustainability, compliance, and environmental excellence across multiple projects within the framework.

As the Environmental Manager, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the framework adheres to environmental regulations and industry best practices, fostering innovation and sustainability throughout the project lifecycle.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and oversee the implementation of framework-wide Environmental Management Plans.
- Support project teams in meeting environmental compliance requirements, including statutory approvals and permits.
- Engage with regulatory bodies, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure alignment with environmental standards.
- Conduct environmental risk assessments and provide solutions to mitigate potential impacts.
- Lead the preparation of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and other relevant documentation.
- Promote sustainability initiatives and embed environmental best practices across framework activities.
- Deliver training and guidance to project teams and stakeholders to enhance environmental awareness and performance.

**Skills and Experience Required:**
- Strong experience in environmental management for infrastructure or energy projects, with a solid understanding of framework delivery models.
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK environmental legislation, sustainability practices, and EIA processes.
- Proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders and influence project outcomes.
- Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple workstreams effectively.
- Relevant degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, or a related field. Professional accreditation (e.g., IEMA, CIEEM) is highly desirable.
