Full Job Description

Project Delivery:

  • Oversee project management tasks including detailed programme creation, issuing Early Warnings, managing Variations, and cost forecasting.

  • Maintain accurate cost-to-complete forecasts and address any threats related to additional costs or delays.

  • Evaluate and communicate project risks, delays, and changes to all stakeholders.

  • Ensure projects adhere to quality procedures and complete design reviews.

  • Regularly liaise with engineering design and manufacturing teams, ensuring timely communication and issue resolution.


  • Commercial Management:

  • Support bid and quote preparation, identifying project management needs and defining project programmes.

  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, manage invoicing, and handle change management.

  • Provide regular progress reports and maintain up-to-date commercial data.


  • Health and Safety:

  • Fulfil CDM Principal Contractor and Designer responsibilities, including obtaining necessary qualifications.

  • Develop and review Health and Safety documentation, ensuring site activities are conducted safely and in compliance with regulations.

  • Conduct periodic site safety inspections and address any issues promptly., Based at their Grangemouth office, this role will require travel to client and Joint Venture partner sites, as well as live site locations. The successful candidate will work closely with Project Coordinators, Engineers, and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

    Are you an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in construction and a keen interest in leading impactful projects? We are seeking a highly motivated individual to manage a diverse portfolio of projects within our Client's Technology SBU. This role is particularly focused on projects within a current Joint Venture, where the client acts as both Principal Designer and Principal Contractor., Strong planning, organisational, and time management skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Project.

  • Ability to act on own initiative and work effectively across all levels.


  • Special Features:

  • Commercial awareness and a collaborative team player.

  • Knowledge of electrical installations and control systems preferred.

  • Experience with NEC3 or NEC4 contracts and working as a Principal Contractor is advantageous., ONC/HNC/Degree in Electrical, Measurement, Control Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Project Management certification (APM or Prince 2 preferred).

  • SSSTS/SMSTS and CDM Principal Contractor qualifications (training provided if needed).

  • DOMS/National Water Hygiene Card (training provided if needed).

  • Relevant CSCS/ECS card and Emergency First Aid at Work certification (training provided if needed).


  • Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years as a Project Manager within a medium or large organisation, or 4 years as an Assistant Project Manager or similar role.
