Full Job Description

Contract Scotland are working closely with a Glasgow based design and build contractor to source an experienced Project Manager, initially to lead a fit-out project in Edinburgh.

They specialise in providing a fully comprehensive construction experience and place great importance on providing a quality service and maintaining a positive reputation within the industry. To be considered for this role, you will have demonstrable experience working in a main contracting environment, and will have a track record of delivering projects on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Roles and responsibilities:
- Leading the procurement of subcontractors and ensuring that they are appointed on time.
- Ensuring that site records are produced and maintained accurately and that commercial opportunities are identified.
- Taking responsibility for the construction programme and ensuring that it is accurately maintained.
- Producing client progress reports.
- Ensuring everyone on site is sufficiently trained and identifying any areas of development.
- Creating and maintaining strong working relationships with clients.
- Leading project review meetings.
- Ensuring specified quality standards are understood and achieved.
- Organising construction phase sign off and handoff with client.

Requirements:
- You will be degree qualified in a construction-related field or come from a trade background.
- You will have demonstrable management experience within the construction industry.
- You will have experience leading projects from inception to completion.
- You will be a driven and strategic individual who is confident and motivated in working collaboratively toward the success of a shared goal.
