Your New Company

You will be working for a large Public Sector organisation based in Glasgow City Centre. They are currently going through a digital transformation programme and will be launching a greenfield data migration project.

Your New Role
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of IT projects for partner organisations, to budget, schedule and meet quality targets, working with colleagues, Business staff and suppliers. Typically, projects will involve IT infrastructure implementation/rollout, business system implementation or IT setup for new offices/office relocations. Depending on project specifics, this may be lead Project Manager role or responsibility for delivering the technical workstream of a Business-led project.

What You Need to Succeed (Qualifications & Experience)

  • Extensive IT Project Management experience
  • Experience of leading change
  • Experience of working closely with key stakeholders
  • Proven track record of managing projects within agreed timescales
  • Experience of procurement and commissioning processes including negotiation with 3rd parties
  • Experience of managing the delivery of key external supplier organisations
  • Accustomed to delivering in demanding and high paced organisations
  • Experience of data migration projects / legacy to new systems projects
  • Experience of working within a PMO and process improvement experience
  • Project/Programme management qualification (Agile, PRINCE2, MSP, APM, PMI)
  • Experience of Quality Assurance / Test management techniques
  • Change management qualification e.g., PROSCI or similar preferred

What You Need to Succeed (Knowledge & Skills)

  • Good knowledge and experience of budget management
  • Analytical thinker able to interpret information and statistical performance analysis for both internal and external purposes
  • Confident and competent in IT applications in particular Microsoft Office applications including MS project
  • Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling projects
  • Cloud infrastructure implementation experience preferred
  • Business applications implementation and continual improvement experience preferred
  • Data & Reporting experience preferred

What You Will Get In Return

  • Up to 450 per day outside of IR35
  • 3 Month Contract with possibility of extension
  • Mainly remote working with occasional travel to Glasgow
