Project Manager - Rail & Civil Engineering

Location: Glasgow

The Job


As a Project Manager, you’ll lead a portfolio of rail infrastructure and civil engineering projects in Scotland, ensuring successful delivery from conception to completion. Working in a fast-paced environment, you’ll manage frameworks such as Civils Asset Management and Renewals Enhancement.


Your responsibilities include:


  • Overseeing multidisciplinary projects including bridges, tunnel repairs, platform renewals and earthworks.
  • Ensuring compliance with all contract parameters, legislation, safety, and quality standards.
  • Managing subcontractors and resources for optimal efficiency.
  • Monitoring contract progress to meet budgetary and scheduling targets.
  • Engaging with stakeholders and identifying business development opportunities.

About You


You'll be an experienced Project Manager with a background in rail and civil engineering projects. You should bring:


  • A degree or HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • CRE accreditation or a pathway to achieving it.
  • Proficiency in managing rail civils projects, including bridges, platforms and embankments.
  • Valid PTS and/or SMSTS certifications.
  • Proven ability to manage projects in a live, highly regulated environment.
