Full Job Description

Peace Recruitment is delighted to bring this opportunity to the Glasgow market. We're recruiting on behalf of a global consultancy in their search for a Project Manager to add to their already established team.

 

Due to continued growth and project wins, our client would like to speak with Project Manager with circa 2 years experience within a consultancy environment, ideally with project experience in Education, Healthcare or defence and NEC4 contract experience is advantageous. Our client has a number of projects including major projects within Healthcare to offer the right candidate where you will deliver from inception through to final account within the central belt of Scotland.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the delivery of construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Administer and manage contracts using the NEC4 contract suite, ensuring compliance and best practices are followed.
  • Act as the main point of contact between clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure effective risk management, financial control, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between project teams and external stakeholders.
  • Manage project performance and proactively resolve any issues or challenges.
  • Prepare and present project updates and reports to clients and senior management.
  • Oversee project governance, ensuring adherence to all regulatory and contractual requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications such as a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of the NEC4 contract framework and its application in construction projects.
  • A track record of delivering projects in Scotland, preferably within consultancy environments.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and financial management.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as PRINCE2, APM, or PMP are highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Scottish construction regulations and guidelines is a plus.
