Full Job Description

Seeking a skilled Project and Programme Planning Lead to drive the development, updating, and monitoring of plans across multiple projects and programmes. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the successful delivery of the organisation's change portfolio by defining key milestones, managing resources, and providing clarity on scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all aspects of project and programme planning, ensuring efficient resource allocation and milestone tracking.
  • Develop and implement portfolio-wide planning, scheduling, and resource management approaches in conjunction with the Change Centre of Excellence Manager.
  • Collaborate with project teams to track progress throughout the change lifecycle, identifying and addressing interdependencies.
  • Provide expert advice on scheduling and resource strategies, ensuring both people and physical resources are optimally managed.
  • Oversee demand and capacity planning to ensure resource requirements are met across the organisation.
  • Ensure planning aligns with the organisation's strategic priorities and annual business planning cycle.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
  • Project Practitioner qualification (PRINCE2, Agile, Waterfall or APM).
  • Proven experience in a planning role, with strong knowledge of the project and programme planning lifecycle.
  • Experience in systems implementations within a project
  • Experience working within a structured governance process would be advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to manage complex data and provide insights.
  • Ability to develop planning and resourcing strategies, frameworks, tools and methods
  • Ability to analyse complex data and provide insights, tailored recommendations and reporting outputs
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Experience developing and maintaining portfolio-level plans, dependencies, risks, and resource frameworks.
  • Expertise in configuring and using Project Management tools (PMS) such as Wrike.
