Full Job Description
Peace Recruitment is delighted to bring this opportunity to the Edinburgh market, our leading well known high end consultancy is recruiting for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their established team, you should have between 2-5 years within private practice
You will be joining a leading consultancy in Edinburgh, renowned for delivering high-end projects across various sectors, including commercial, residential, education and retail within the public & private markets. They have a strong reputation and a portfolio of prestigious clients, offering the right candidate to be a part of major projects (£100m+) team in Edinburgh.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and tender documents.
- Conduct cost analysis, value engineering, and risk management throughout project life cycles.
- Oversee the procurement process, including tender evaluations and contract negotiations.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Provide accurate and timely financial reports, forecasts, and cash flow management.
- Monitor project progress, including site visits and valuations.
- Manage variations, change orders, and final account settlements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying
- MRICS accreditation (or working towards) is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a consultancy environment.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using relevant software, such as CostX or similar.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
