Peace Recruitment is excited to present this rare PQS opportunity to the Glasgow market.


Our unique PQS practice is recruiting a Project Quantity Surveyor for their already established Glasgow office, this is due to continued growth with an impressive project pipeline for the remainder of this year and next. Our client was founded in 2020, they provide cost management services from feasibility through to final account for their high end entertainment, leisure and hospitality clients throughout the UK. From their offices in London and Glasgow, our client has delivered an array of outstanding projects in some of the UK's most prestigious theatres, grand halls, music venues, hotels and arena's including the O2 and The AO in Manchester. 


To be considered for this opportunity, you should have a minimum of 3 years post grad experience within a PQS practice, working towards APC or chartered - our client has an internal APC programme to support chartership. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, manage, and monitor budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Conduct cost analysis, feasibility studies, and value engineering exercises.
  • Prepare detailed bills of quantities, schedules of works, and tender documentation.
  • Evaluate and negotiate contracts, variations, and final accounts with contractors and clients.
  • Provide accurate and timely cost reporting and financial progress updates to clients.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure efficient project delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Offer professional advice on contractual and commercial matters, including risk management and dispute resolution.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and project success.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • BSc in Quantity Surveying
  • Professional membership with RICS or working towards chartered status.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, within a consultancy environment.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement strategies, and cost management techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software, including Microsoft Office and industry-specific tools.
