Stirling Council Housing Service has an exciting opportunity to recruit a Property and Assets Senior Officer to join the team. Property and Assets currently provide a Repairs and Maintenance Service across our housing portfolio including lettable standard work to empty properties, Capital Invest works, Adaptations, Refurbishments and the construction of new build housing for our tenants.

The successful applicant will take a proactive role in the management of our void properties, lead in Health and Safety as well as support the Housing Services transformation agenda.

An integral part of service delivery across all teams in Property and Assets, the post-holder will have direct line management responsibilities. The post holder will be expected to and oversee surveying, program and schedule of complex and multi-trade works, monitor KPI performance and improvement, manage SOR contractor works, take a lead role in management of health and safety, manage a direct workforce including technical supervisors and multi trade operatives. The post holder will also be expected to work towards carrying out preventive and corrective duties on Housing Service procedures, processes, systems and attaining the Services goals and objectives.

Requirements

The successful candidate must have a full driving license, knowledge of construction maintenance and a proven record in Health and Safety. With strong leadership skills along with excellent customer care, communication and IT skills, the successful candidate will be subject to a Basic Disclosure check.
