Full Job Description
C~urb PSL, is a registered Letting Agent and manage over 1750 properties leased from private landlords to the City of Edinburgh Council's Private Sector Leasing (PSL) scheme which helps to alleviate homelessness in the City of Edinburgh. The PSL Finance Officer will provide support to the C~urb PSL team by collating and processing purchase invoices, works orders and rental payments received to ensure accurate, timely and efficient operation of specific financial aspects of the accounting system. The postholder will process all Housing Benefit, Allpay and rent payments received to ensure accuracy of tenant's revenue accounts as well as liaise with Income Officers with regards to ad-hoc tenant account queries regarding payments posted. The role involves reconciling contractor statements with the purchase ledger on a monthly basis, payment of utility bills and the production and maintenance of accurate and easy to follow procedures. Maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders and representing C~urb at formal and informal meetings both internally and externally is also part of this role., You will work with colleagues who offer support to ensure our customers' expectations are met. You will be educated to Higher Level or equivalent and have experience of providing administrative support services within a financial services setting. The postholder will have experience of process improvements in addition to strong numeracy and literacy skills. A clear understanding of all aspects of customer services and knowledge of purchase and sales ledger processing is required for this role. Computer literacy with Microsoft packages with an intermediate knowledge of MS Office is essential for this position.
