Full Job Description

The role of the Pupil Support Assistant will be to help with the educational, care and welfare needs of all pupils ensuring those with additional needs, who are able to attend a mainstream school, can effectively access the curriculum.

You will be joining a high achieving and successful department and other teams of staff who are dedicated to providing the best for all our young people. This is a demanding role and you should be committed to raising the attainment and achievement of all our pupils.

Forrester High School is a state of the art PPP school opened in January 2010. All classrooms are fully equipped to a very high standard and teaching classrooms all have access to an interactive whiteboard.

Since 2012, the school has rolled out iPads to certain year groups to help improve their learning in the classroom and at home. As a 1:1 computing school, all teachers and assistants have the latest Apple technology which includes iPads and there are Apple TV's in every classroom.

Sports facilities are exceptional and include Games Halls, Gym, Swimming Pool, Fitness Suite, 3G and 2G artificial pitches as well as conventional grass pitches for both rugby and football.

Salary: £24,909 - £25,116 per year (pro rata for part time and sessional)
Hours: 27.5 per week, 39 weeks sessional, To help achieve this, we're changing the way we interview and assess candidates by moving from a competency-based interview approach to a behavioural and technical (skills for the job) based approach. Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
