Greenrigg Primary School serves the community of Greenrigg in West Lothian.

Our ELC is at the heart of our establishment and we value the essential work that takes place in the Early Learning and Childcare Setting. It is in the ELC that children and families are supported to form an attachment that will support every child to reach their developmental and early learning goals.

Greenrigg ELC offers children a wide range of learning experiences. We manage continuous improvement through robust self-evaluation and implementation of the School Improvement Plan

The successful candidate will work as part of a forward thinking team, bringing a sound knowledge of child development and will respond to the individual needs of each child, providing high quality interactions and learning experiences.

We are seeking an enthusiastic pupil support worker to join the team in the nursery which is open 50 week a year. This is a 16hr/52.14 week post and staff are require to work flexibly across the settings opening hours.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the West Lothian Council

This position requires registration with the SSSC.  The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC.  SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date
