Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a QHSE Coordinator to support the QHSE Manager in maintaining the company’s management system arrangements and provides support, advice, guidance and oversight of the operational teams and other support functions in all matters relating to QHSE.


 

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for an ambitious and focused individual with some experience gained in a similar role. You should be a great communicator. It’s also important that you can demonstrate sound commercial judgement and a broad awareness of how a business operates.


 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Degree or Higher National Certificate in a related subject
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications advantageous
  • Relevant previous experience in a similar role advantageous
  • Awareness of health & safety legislation and environmental protection requirements
  • Be willing to obtain a NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent qualification and to obtain an
  • Environmental CIEH certificate or equivalent
  • Be willing to obtain Certified lead auditor training
  • Good problem identification solving skills
  • Highly proficient in computer programs such as MS Office
  • Awareness of business and client requirements and expectations

 


ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

 

We have an exciting position for a QHSE Coordinator to support the QHSE Manager to ensure that the Quality and Health, Safety and Environmental requirements described in the documented management system, relevant accreditation standards where applicable (ISO 9001, ISO 17025, ISO 14001, ISO 45001), and client specific requirements are met daily across the site. A key aspect of the role is to always promote a positive quality and safety culture and encourage this attitude in colleagues through leading by example.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continually improve the local management system to meet changing requirements and suggest improvements to the corporate management system where required
  • Acting as a system administrator for the electronic QHSE system
  • To undertake and document audits on the local management system
  • Participate in quality meetings to discuss ongoing quality issues with all relevant employees in cooperation with site managers and assist with the production of meeting minutes
  • Coordinate records of internal and external proficiency tests and schemes
  • Assisting with the recording and investigation of any non-conformances and identification of root cause to ensure that all corrective and preventive actions are implemented
  • Ensuring that the duties of the position are conducted in a manner consistent with satisfying the Health and Safety at Work Act, and the provisions of the management system
  • Assist with the investigation of local accidents, incidents and near misses where required
  • Reviewing current and revised legislation to ensure compliance where applicable
  • Development and documenting of toolbox talks
  • To ensure that the database within QHSE system is kept up to date with details of equipment including PAT, maintenance, and calibration records
  • Assist with the development, coordination, and monitoring of annual QHSE plans
