P&L Recruitment are delighted to be working in partnership with a well-establish organisation based in South Lanarkshire to recruit a Qualified Accountant on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a key role within the organisation and will suit an ambitious Accountant with a background in Practice who is keen for growth and progression. This role will offer 1 or 2 days hybrid working per week.

Responsibilities:

• Managing the full finance function from start to finish
• Managing all aspects of the firm's accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements
• Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with all relevant tax and employment regulations
• Work closely with clients to provide expert advice and solutions tailored to their unique needs
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting cycles.
• Budgeting and financial forecasting to support the firm's strategic objectives
• Implement cost-saving measures to improve the firm's financial efficiency

Skills and Experience:

• ICAS, ACCA, or CIMA qualification
• Previous accounting experience ideally within Practice or Financial Services
• Strong understanding of UK GAAP and relevant tax legislation
• Proficient in accounting software packages (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues across all departments
