Qualified Accountant/Manager

Glasgow - primarily office based

Salary up to £60,000 DOE

Iconic Resourcing are delighted to be retained by a growing and well-established accountancy practice based in Glasgow to recruit a Qualified Accountant for a key position within their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a practice-trained accountant who’s looking for a fresh challenge in a firm that genuinely values its people and offers clear scope for development.

This is a progressive, client-focused accountancy practice with a loyal and growing client base across a wide range of sectors. Despite being a small team, they punch above their weight and are known for their approachable style, technical expertise, and high client retention. With continued growth, they are now looking to strengthen their team with the addition of a newly or recently qualified accountant.

Key Responsibilities:

• As Qualified Accountant, you will take ownership of a varied portfolio of clients and deliver a full range of accounting and tax services. Your responsibilities will include:
• Preparation and review of statutory accounts, VAT returns, and management accounts
• Advising clients on tax compliance and planning matters
• Liaising directly with clients and HMRC
• Supporting and mentoring junior staff as needed - this will likely grow into more of a team management role as your tenure increases
• Playing an active role in improving internal systems and contributing to the growth of the practice

Previous Experience

• ICAS / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an accountancy practice setting
• Proficient in cloud accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, etc.)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• A proactive, client-first approach and the ability to manage your workload effectively
