Full Job Description

Contract: Permanent 

Work pattern: 39 hours per week 

Location: Wheatley Homes East, Bilston, Midlothian, EH20 9LZ

Our Repairs team, based at our Bilston workshop, delivers repairs, maintenance and investment services for customers in Wheatley Homes East properties, as well as for people living in Wheatley’s other subsidiaries in the east of Scotland.  

About the role 

We now have a great opportunity to join our team as a Qualified Multi-Skilled Operative (Roofer).

The role involves carrying out roofing and other multi-trade repairs in our customers’ homes and getting empty properties ready to re-let.

Who are we looking for? 

We want candidates who take pride in their work and who always strive to go above and beyond for our customers. We are looking for someone who will help us achieve our targets for response times, right first time and customer satisfaction. 

You will be qualified with the relevant trade qualification and able to multi-skill in other trades. 

A clean driving licence and basic disclosure check is required, as well participation in the out-of-hours service. Experience of working in social housing and occupied properties is desirable.
