- To support Balfour Beatty, deliver the project in accordance with customer and stakeholder requirements and commitments, including verification activities to demonstrate compliance against Balfour Beatty requirements, external accreditations and industry good practice.
- To support the co-ordination, submission, compliance and management of all assurance activities and the resolution of assurance related issues. To ensure implementation of procedures including submissions from the supply chain and establishing test and inspection plans for delivery of the works. What you'll be doing
- Attend pre-start meetings for significant projects (either in terms of value, complexity or QA/QC requirements)
- Support project teams in developing the quality plans / inspection & test plans are being followed and that customer/project requirements are being met, and review those from the supply chain
- Assist delivery teams in achieving the required deliverables, and managing issues as required, also providing Quality advice to our supply chain where appropriate
- Use existing systems to allow sample and benchmark plans to be established and agreed with customers and supply chain
- Use digital systems to monitor the performance of quality planning / production of quality deliverables / managing of issues against targets
- Support project team in collating and delivering handover records as per customer' requirements, on time
- Working to the processes and procedures of the Business Management System
- Support the Quality team during internal and external audits
- Support the implementation of either project or business stream quality strategies, plans and actions across the scope of services and full project lifecycle
- Assist in training, coaching and developing quality skills, including sharing lessons learned
- Support the establishment of a continual improvement culture
- Support the undertaking of specific investigations and/or reporting on quality related issues as required
- Support the use of appropriate digital toolset to support the project governance and quality assurance/ measures on the project, including training of those tools
The following qualities/experiences are essential: - Prior Quality experience and/or relevant operational / technical experience to meet industry sector demands
- Level 4+ Qualification in Quality, Construction or Manufacturing (relevant industry) or PCQI
- Knowledge of ISO9000 Terminology
- An understanding and commitment to Quality Management
- Awareness of business improvement initiatives
- Has an ability to gather, analyse and evaluate facts
- Work to plans and programmes
- Pays attention to detail and sees things through to completion
- Is good at building relationships and can influence effectively
- Can deliver reports orally and written in an objective manner
- Ability to challenge existing methods and ways of thinking
- Able to work within a multi-discipline team
- Fully proficient in modern office computer systems and technology e.g. Office 365
- Either a CQI Practitioner or working towards Practitioner status.
