Full Job Description

Anderson Knight have a fantastic new opportunity for a leading Engineering fabrication business based in Lanarkshire. 

Reporting to the Managing Directors this role requires an experienced quality manager that will bring ownership and focus to quality and business improvement across the business. The role demands a hands-on approach in both QA and QC and a personal commitment to improvement. Customer relationships will also be important in raising the external profile of our quality systems and delivered product.


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage the entire quality function including QA, QC and business / process improvement. 
  • Drive compliance to process and process improvement.
  • Set and run the audit programme (internal and external)
  • Identify and report relevant KPI’s with a clear personal commitment to drive improved performance.
  • Customer ownership, management, communication, and resolution on quality related issues / opportunities Measure and communicate quality metrics and improvement actions with the team.
  • Manage business QA requirements.
  • Manage the ISO 9001 programme including certification and customer audits.

Candidate Requirements 


  • Experience within the Manufacturing / Engineering sector Knowledge and experience of ISO 9001
  • Knowledge and experience of quality improvement tools
  • Commitment to the ownership of quality within the business
  • Ability to work at different levels – this role requires hands on work at each level of the business.
  • Confident communicator both written and oral
  • Commercial awareness 
  • Excellent work ethic – focused on achievement of business and personal goals.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Able to contribute to business growth and strategy planning.
