Full Job Description

Attention Quantity Surveyors!

Contract Scotland are working with a well established and reputable subcontractor to source an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their site team on a project in Edinburgh.

This role requires an individual who can effectively manage and control costs, establish and maintain strong relationships, and ensure successful project outcomes while meeting client satisfaction. You should have excellent communication skills to engage with clients and colleagues and a willingness to learn and grow in the position.

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Preparing and managing budgets, estimates, and cost plans.
- Conducting detailed cost analysis and risk assessments.
- Managing subcontractor accounts, variations, and final accounts.
- Negotiating contracts and managing procurement processes.
- Providing accurate and timely financial reporting to senior management.
- Ensuring compliance with contractual and legal requirements.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.

You will:
- Be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or alternative relevant disciple.
- Have demonstrable commercial experience within main contracting or sub-contracting.
