Full Job Description

Contract Scotland are working with a large main contractor based in Livingston to source an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their established commercial team.

You will work on a variety of new-build and refurbishment projects within a range of sectors, including healthcare, industrial, education, commercial, and more.

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be an ambitious, driven and strategic individual, taking responsibility for managing and steering costs and building and maintaining strong relationships to ensure project success and satisfaction.

Key responsibilities:
- Advising and liaising with operational management on contract and commercial matters.
- Advising on all commercial reports; assuring valuations are maximised and paid on time.
- Reporting on monthly costs, maintaining accurate financial records, and preparing cost forecasts.
- Ensuring quotations are evaluated carefully and comply with project specifications.
- Successfully managing sub-contractor accounts.

To be considered for this role, you will:
- Be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying.
- Have demonstrable commercial experience within the construction industry.
- Have excellent negotiation, communication, and organisational skills.
