Full Job Description
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team working on our long-term Contract with Transport Scotland to manage and maintain the Scottish Trunk Road Network.
You will be based at the office in Perth; however, we do operate a hybrid working model which is currently 3 days office based and 2 days at home.
The standard hours of work are 40 hours per week.
The Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, your overall objective of this role is to ensure the effective delivery of the commercial function within the Contract.
You will collaborate with the team to:
Measure and value progress of works based on a schedule of rates.
Collection, collation, and storage of relevant measurement data.
Ensuring all site and measurement records are completed by our operational teams.
Management of SubContractors including assessing applications, preparing payment notices, monthly liabilities, and accruals.
Reporting the Cost/Value analysis of various sized projects.
Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management degree/qualification (Essential)
Quantity Surveying experience
Background in civils or construction environments (Desirable)
Strong IT skills - particularly Microsoft Excel
Ability to time-manage, set priorities and work to strict deadlines.
Effective communication and interaction skills
Sound knowledge of MMHW
