About the Role

Are you a skilled Quantity Surveyor seeking a new challenge in a pivotal renewable energy project? We are offering an exciting opportunity to join a well-established team working on a major substation build in Crossaig.  This role offers the chance to contribute to an essential infrastructure project at the forefront of the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial aspects of the substation project, ensuring budgetary control and cost management.
• Collaborate with project teams to provide accurate financial reporting, cost forecasting, and procurement planning.
• Conduct cost analysis to identify efficiencies and implement cost-saving measures.
• Administer contracts and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Provide expert advice on contractual issues, including risk mitigation and dispute resolution.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the construction or power industries.
• In-depth understanding of construction contracts and procurement procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with excellent negotiation skills.

Desirable:

• Membership with RICS or CIOB is beneficial but not required.
