 This is an exciting opportunity to join our Contract Strategy team to provide a quantity surveying service for the Council’s 37,000 current properties and corporate property portfolio.

 You will be joining a Service which strives for excellence in service delivery and works well with partners. You will work within a multi-disciplinary environment and be responsible for cost estimating, preparation of contract documents, site measurements, payments and contract administration.

 As Quantity Surveying Technician, you will be part of the Contract Strategy team, you will be a hybrid worker with attendance at sites/offices as required. You will be involved in all aspects of the quantity surveying function, including procurement and contract management.  

 You should be educated to HNC/HND/Degree level. You should have experience within the design and construction industry, experience of computerised billing systems and knowledge of public sector procurement and current contract conditions. 

 Contracted hours are 35 hours per week, however part time hours are available (negotiable).
