Reception Administrator

Based in Haddington

12 - 12.65 per hour + holiday pay

Reed Business Support are pleased to be working with a Non-Profit based in Haddington who are looking to a recruit a Reception Administrator on a temporary basis until at least the end of August. In the role, you will be responsible for working on a shared reception desk, communicating with customers, and providing general administrative support.

This is an opportunity to join a friendly, modern employer in a role that has the potential to become longer-term or permanent.

  • Mon - Thu (9am - 4:30pm) Fri (9am - 4pm)
  • 35 hours per week
  • Office based
  • Start date: ASAP

Key responsibilities:

  • Answering incoming calls to the office, providing support where possible or passing to the relevant member of staff (15 - 20 calls per day)
  • Helping to manage to the shared office inbox
  • Handling incoming post and passing to the relevant team
  • Scanning and filing documents
  • Dealing with room booking system
  • Printing documents
  • Ordering supplies and stationary for the office
  • Dealing with mail merges and communications to customers
  • Entering information on Excel spreadsheets
  • Dealing with limited face-to-face enquires, occasionally taking payments from customers
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy reception area
  • Various ad hoc admin duties

Person specifications:

  • Previous experience working as an Administrator, or in a similar role
  • Previous experience dealing with customers in some capacity
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence speaking with members of the public
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good IT skills - mainly Microsoft Office
