Recoveries Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Debt Recovery Handler to join a reputable financial services company on a permanent basis. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in supporting customers who are in arrears by implementing effective collection strategies, with a strong emphasis on ensuring positive and sustainable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute a range of collection activities in strict accordance with company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and consistency across all actions.

• Manage and resolve arrears cases by updating and amending agreements, with a focus on facilitating positive customer outcomes and maintaining customer relationships.

• Conduct both inbound and outbound collection calls, meticulously documenting every customer interaction to maintain accurate and detailed records.

• Communicate effectively with customers through various channels, including letters, emails, and text messages, ensuring that all correspondence is logged and filed appropriately.

• Consistently maintain high performance levels as expected by the company, adhering to all internal procedures and regulatory requirements.

Essential Experience:

• Proven experience in a collections environment with a demonstrated ability to manage and control customer calls effectively.

• A sound understanding of the financial services industry and the associated regulations.

• Ideally, previous experience in a claims or collections role, with a track record of successfully managing arrears cases.

Operating Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 20:00

• Weekends: 09:00 – 18:00

Shifts are allocated on a rotational basis to ensure full service coverage during operating hours. Flexibility is essential, and hybrid working options will be available upon successful completion of training.
