Recruitment Assistant

Location: Edinburgh

Contract: Temporary, part-time or full-time considered, initially until the end of December 2024

Salary: £25,000

About the Company:

Our client, a pioneering organisation in the field of life sciences, is seeking a Recruitment Assistant to support their ambitious growth plans. 

The Role:

We are looking for a proactive Recruitment Assistant to assist with a key recruitment drive during a period of expansion. In this temporary role, you will manage various aspects of the recruitment process, ensuring an efficient and positive experience for both candidates and hiring teams. This contract will initially run until the end of December 2024, with scope to be extended/become permanent moving into 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support the recruitment lifecycle, from posting jobs to onboarding successful candidates.
- Create and publish compelling job adverts across multiple platforms using an ATS.
- Coordinate communications between hiring managers, candidates, and agencies, ensuring prompt responses.
- Organise and conduct initial candidate screenings, and schedule interviews with precision.
- Prepare offer letters and employment contracts, and assist in extending offers to candidates.
- Perform pre-employment checks, including reference verification and right-to-work compliance.
- Assist in generating regular recruitment reports for internal stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to recruitment policies, procedures, and legal standards, safeguarding confidentiality and data integrity.

About You:

- Recruitment experience in either an agency setting or an internal recruitment team is beneficial.
- Exceptional organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and engaging job descriptions and advertisements.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ATS tools is a plus.
