We are looking for a committed staff nurse to join our team. The Young Peoples Unit (YPU) provides in-patient care and treatment to young people aged 12-18 experiencing acute mental illness.  The YPU is a regional service providing 12 beds for young people from across the North of Scotland.  We offer a broad range of therapeutic interventions, including individual, group and family work.

As a senior nurse in the Young Peoples Unit, supported by the wider multidisciplinary team, you will be expected to undertake a leadership and an educational role to create a learning environment for all staff.  The post holder will have responsibility for assessment of care needs and evaluation of programmes of care ensuring the delivery of high quality person centred care to young people.  If you want to contribute to this dynamic, forward thinking service, you care about young people with mental health problems and you think you are the kind of person who can be committed, reflective and a good team member, this is an ideal opportunity for you.

You must be registered on Sub-part 1: Mental Health Level 1 or Learning Disabilities Level 1 of the UK NMC Register
