Dundee Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service (DDARS) are looking for a Registered Nurse as a result of ongoing internal promotions, to join our friendly and supportive team. We provide specialist care and support to people experiencing alcohol/opiate dependency, working across the city in community settings.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team in the assessment and treatment of patients referred to DDARS.  The role will focus on the recovery of the individual, using psychological and clinical strategies such as motivational skills, relapse prevention, risk management and medication dispensing. You will hold a caseload of people to support that will include liaising with external social work teams, primary care, and other partner agencies as part of the post.

Having an innovative and forward-thinking approach will be an advantage at a time of transformational change within the services.

We have an established developmental pathway for staff wishing to progress their learning and experience.

You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1, RNA, RN3 or RNMH or Sub-part 2: RN2 or RN4 of the UK NMC Register
