Requirements

You will have 3 National 4s, or equivalent, including English and Maths or equivalent.

Responsibilities

On a shift rota basis to provide an overall support service, on a relief basis, to the residents of the Lily Walker Centre and Honeygreen Supervised Unit and assist in the provision of an efficient clerical and reception service. This position is on a relief basis to assist in efficient service delivery of the Housing Options service. The post is a minimum of 20 hours per (averaged over a month) working in supervised accommodation units to cover sickness and holidays for full time staff and in providing administrative support for all temporary accommodation, including completion of forms, such as Housing Benefit, occupancy agreements and help in arranging people moving on to settled accommodation. The hours are flexible due to the nature of the post and the minimum needs of the service. This will ensure the reduction of staff overtime costs within the supervised units, reduce void times and rent arrears in all forms of DCC temporary accommodation.

The Individual

You will have an experience of working with homeless clients or who require additional support. You will have good communication skills, verbal and written and be empathetic/sympathetic. You will have IT skills. You will have ability to work alone and unsupervised. You will be able to work shifts (including weekends and sleepovers) and be able to work at short notice. A Basic Disclosure Scotland Check is required.
