Grade - 7A

Hourly Rate - £16.43 - £18.09

Salary - £29992.20 - £33021.70 pro rata per annum

Contract Duration - Casual/Relief

Recruitment Profile

To oversee exams in Galashiels Academy
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
Arranging secure storage for exam papers
Supervising and training Invigilators
Conducting examinations as prescribed, including checking Attendance Registers and the daily dispatch of answer books
Submitting reports to SQA about irregularities or disturbances in the conduct of an examination
Check the accuracy of the papers that are sent out by SQA Establish the number of Invigilators required with the Depute Headteacher / Cluster Business Manager Allocate duties to Invigilators - will have to discuss how many Invigilators will be required for each exam, especially if there are alternative assessment arrangements in place
Keep an accurate record of the Invigilators’ duties, along with the Centre's accommodation requirements, to send to SQA at the end of the Diet
Raise any concerns about the conduct of any Invigilators with SQA and establish whether they should be removed from the supply list
