£15.97 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)
Do you have a skill or a hobby you would like to share with Others? We are looking to recruit experienced sessional tutors willing to offer non-certificated informal courses in community settings all around Orkney, to further complement our current Community Learning provision. We are looking for innovative and creative tutors who can inspire and motivate a diverse range of learners.
Classes we have offered in the past include, Straw Work, Creative Writing, Shiatsu, Flower Arranging and Photography.
Candidates must have a high level of expertise in their chosen field and an in-depth knowledge of the subject they wish to offer. Experience of teaching and relevant qualifications in the subject matter are desirable. Applicants must be available to deliver community-based provision at times to suit learner needs, which may include daytime, evening or weekend classes.
You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
