Full Job Description

  • Carry out mandatory training, both online and face to face

  • Undertake range of duties in safe and competent manner, which includes walking and standing for most of the shift, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling and lifting, using appropriate aids

  • Cope working in busy clinical and non-clinical environments. This may include working in areas with increased heat, secure units, and areas with distressed patients

  • Work in environments that may be classed as infected

  • Have a professional approach

  • Understand the importance of maintaining and observing confidentiality

  • Learn and adapt


  • All Domestic Assistants are required to work throughout NHS Tayside at various sites/areas should there be a requirement to do so.

  • Have awareness of basic H&S and Infection Control issues associated with the role

  • Carry out tasks in a methodical manner
