About the Role:
This is a unique opportunity for a Solicitor or Senior Solicitor (2-3 years PQE) to join a dynamic and supportive Real Estate team, specialising in renewables. The team is actively involved in some of Scotland’s largest and most innovative renewable energy projects, offering the chance to work on a variety of deals that are shaping the future of energy in the region. You will work closely with developers, landowners, investors, and lenders, often collaborating with London firms on significant projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of a diverse range of renewable energy projects and commercial developments on rural land.
- Engage with high-value, time-sensitive, and high-profile projects.
- Navigate complex property titles and handle options and leases for renewable projects.
- Prepare and negotiate certificates of title to support asset transfers and financing.
- Assist with intricate project work, including crofting law.
- Collaborate with colleagues across various practice areas, including Planning, Banking, and Corporate, to deliver integrated energy solutions.
- Contribute to innovative projects in emerging technologies such as wind (offshore and onshore), hydro, tidal, solar, hydrogen, and battery storage.
- Adhere to information security policies, ensuring the protection of sensitive data.
About You:
- A minimum of 2-3 years PQE in a property-related role, with experience in renewable energy transactions.
- Keen interest in the renewables sector and its evolving landscape, as well as commercial development on rural land.
- Strong attention to detail, coupled with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- A positive, collaborative attitude and the desire to be an active part of a team-oriented environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive, self-driven approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
What’s in It for You?
- Work on ground-breaking renewable energy projects, including the UK's first vertical space launch, large-scale onshore wind farms, and complex portfolio financing.
- Be a key player in shaping Scotland’s renewable energy landscape, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
- Join a firm that values innovation, new ideas, and diverse perspectives, offering a supportive environment for professional success.
